Orellana la Vieja

About the town
It is situated near the lake Orellana, in the comarca Siberia Extremeña. The lake Orellana provides water to Vegas area, and the lake allow us practice water sports.

To the foot of the village, on an area of extraordinary beauty, there is a tourist area that shelters a school of hotel and catering business, a Guadiana Club Naútico, and others, like a magnificent Hotel "Castillo de Orellana" and a beach under the tourist denomination of "Costa Dulce de Extremadura". Recently a camping has been opened also in the proximities of the hotel, which completes Orellana's tourist offer.
In Orellana la Vieja there is a sailing club. Many tourist industries with the river near the village.

In Orellana's gastronomic tradition there are plates like sopas de pimiento y tomate, huevos embizcochados, perdices al gitanillo, carpas en adobo, bollos dormios,....
