The mansion was constructed in the 17th century as "Hacienda de Olivares". For those of you less familiar with Spanish, a hacienda is typically a rural Spanish manor. From historical records dating from 1853 we have learned that the hacienda previously consisted of more than 500 ha (3049 square acres) of olive groves.
Today the hacienda consists of 13 ha (80 square acres) of ecologically farmed land with two orange groves and a new organic fruit- and vegetable garden. The organic cultivation is certified by the CAAE (Comite Andaluz de agricultura ecologica) - an organization founded and monitored by the European Union. Our fruit and vegetable cultivation is also highly valued and as our guest you are warmly invited to pick and enjoy fresh fruit and vegetables from our gardens.
The hacienda's water is provided by two fountains: one of Spanish style, has been preserved in its original condition and can be found in the inner courtyard, the other one is placed by the pool and has been renovated in Moorish style. In the near of our property there's a lake for fishing.
The hacienda "Vera Cruz" offers the highest level of comfort and greatest possible freedom to plan your day. There's an open terrasse, a winter garden, pool, sauna and a small fitness studio as well as a leisure and celebration room on 600qm with many posibilities to entertain. Kids are welcome to play billiards, airpuck, table tennis, basketball or dart. In the palm garden there's is a small bar equipped with a grill. Additionally, the parlor's book corner or fireplace makes a wonderful spot to relax and enjoy the evening. Guests visiting during the winter seasons are also invited to enjoy our sauna.

Our rooms and apartments are distinctive and built in the typical style of the region; comfortable and elegant, of Spanish or Moorish design. Every residence is equipped with a television and naturally its own bathroom - each apartment has a parlor and mostly a kitchen.

Spanish courses By request you can learn with your personal teacher in 1-3 weeks to conversate in Spanish, the traditions and Spanish culinarious specialities.

5.- 6. January - Los Reyes
The Epiphany is very popular for children because they finally get their presents and because of the famous parades.

Nobody shows his faith with such an ardor like the Andalucian people. In the passion week you can enjoy in different villages the great processions. Maria and Josef were carried from different fraternities with terribly wonderful orchestras in extravagantly decorated sedan-chairs to the churches. The most famous and magnificant is the one of Sevilla.
7. - 10. April - Feria in Mairena del Alcor
In this feria you can still enjoy the old style with horses and flamenco shows. The streets get filled with carriages, elegant horse riders and women in the "traje de flamenco", the wonderful Andalucian dress.
12. - 17. April - Feria de Sevilla
The one week Sevillian market in April is the bigest national festival of Andalucia with daily flamenco shows, parades and bull fightings.
